I've been trying to figure out "M" for honey too........! All I can come up with is "maltose" (which is one of the sugar types found in honey) "mead" which is a "honey wine or beer" and "monofloral" which refers to a honey in which the bees get the pollen from one type of flower. So maybe it's one of those. So now it's on to "Vs" for shortening! What's that all about!?
Duh, of course! Vs.....vegetable shortening! How'd I miss that!? Ha ha! Great call! You get EXTRA sprinkles!!! I'll accept your explanation for Honey too.....best guess so far!!!

M might be "Miele". Or the Latin: Mel mellis (which I think -- my Latin is rudimentary -- might actually translate as something like "sweet sweet".
Vs. Weird. Oo, look, but lard is there! Maybe it means "vegetable shortening"?
